Description

This elegant boat was built in a class at the ABM in September 2000. The ladies' skiffs are typically more decorative and shorter in length than the traditional 18' St. Lawrence River rowing skiff. Four ABM students built the Mary Cox under Dan Sutherland's guidance in two weeks. She features African mahogany decks, cedar inlays, cedar planking, cedar seats with African mahogany inlays, cedar floorboards and ceiling. This craft was dedicated to and named after local resident Mary Cox, who was the first woman pilot in World War II.
