Description

1951 Hubert Johnson Black Jack, Black & Tan powered by modern Crusader 350 V8 First purchased by the donor's grandfather in 1951 and sold out of the family on his death. When the donor's family was looking for a boat to have at their Wellesley Island property they looked for a similar Hubert Johnson utility to the one the family used to have. A friend sent them the ad for Black & Tan and when they inspected the boat, they found the old registration in a cuddy under the forward deck. The name on the registration was the grandfather's. The family purchased Black & Tan, brought her to the 1000 Islands, and had her restored. Frequent cruises were enjoyed among the 1000 Islands before Black & Tan was donated to the Museum.
