A Lost Kingdom in the Philippine Archipelago: the Kalaga-P'tuan Crescent, 250 - 1550 AD

Description

Over the past 50 years, a growing body of evidence suggests that an important pre-colonial society, based in a crescent shaped area of the southeastern Philippine archipelago, conducted complex martime trade relations with China, as early as the 3rd century CE. This book presents presents this argument referencing, among other evidence, the diversity of Chinese ceramics recovered in the Philippines that, taken together, span over a millenium of Chinese kiln production traditions.
