Interior wood, elaborate window valance. Originally designed to fit bay window. Composed of three separate (now detached) sections. Central section has arched pediment and carved rosette, below which is frieze panel ornamented with dentils and series of carved rosettes and fluting. Each end originally had curved sunburst ornament at lower edge. One is now missing and other is detached. The other two components of valance are matched with symmetrically proportioned extensions of the same frieze panel. On both ends of each extension are smaller pediments, carved capitals and turned bulbous drops. All three components have complex moldings and burl veneer. Made of honey-colored hardwood. Varnished.
Minor loss of small ornaments which are not yet located but possibly could be found in storage.
