Description

Interior wood window casing. Elaborate, complete assemblage. Has complex contoured molded header, header has removable recessed burled panel. Flanked on each side with uprights with corner block. Each block has rosette, below which are paired brackets, below which is casing with recessed burled panel, below which is plinth block. Sill extends across to both sides and has convex molded edge. Window opening is without sash and has pair of slatted rolling shutters. Upper shutter retracts into spring-loaded receptacle behind header panel. Lower shutter retracts through slot in sill. Both travel in slot in frame. Slats of shutter made of hardwood and are beveled and have bead. Originally mounted behind benches in Inglenook. Second floor - off of master bedroom.
