Cast Iron. Pair of andirons. Originally Japanned black. Finish nearly gone. Simulated peening. Hollow casting to represent forged iron. Finial is shield shaped. Has three-cusped club, body tapers outwards to juncture of curved legs.
Bolted on fire dogs with curved segment. Straight part has two legs on each andiron. One fire dog is broken at juncture to upright.
