Description

Mottled pink / orange glazed terra cotta hollow block with stylized lion head motif. Has exotic headdress with zig-zag ornament. Remnants of mortar on top of block indicate installation as Corbel. Has angle iron inserted in block and imbedded in cement with red brick infill. Impressed numbers on top of block match cladding McBean Company project records. Inscriptions or Markings: Manufacturer: Gladding McBean. Place of Manufacture: Lincoln, California. Design motif: Zoomorphic Lion. Style: Exotic. Finish: Glazed.
