Cast iron Pilaster. Originally installed on Abington Building front facade, first floor. Has pediment at top. Originally with cast iron relief lion head / shield motif bolted on and flanked on each side with cast iron botanical motif ornament (now all detached and cataloged separately. See 1988.11.1.1 and 1988.11.1.2

Pediment has molded edges and dentils. Front of pilaster has raised panel with molded ornament, including rosette and drop with stylized botanical motif. Side edges are cove molded. Lower end of pilaster is truncated. Reverse is hollow and has two eyelets for anchorage to masonry.
Front and sides are painted with multiple layers of pant, original finish appears to be sand texturized to simulate beige sandstone.
