Description

Cast iron ornamental lion head superimposed on shield motif. Originally installed on Abington Building front facade, first floor pilaster. Non detached. See 1988.11.1.1 and 1988.11.1.2. Lion head is composed of two separate pieces with open seam through center. Attached to shield motif with modern replacement bolts. Original finish appears to be sand texturized to simulate beige sandstone. Inscriptions or Markings: Design motif: Zoomorphic Style: Finish: Stripped
