Cast iron capital. Originally installed on Abington Building front facade, second or fourth floor.
Hollow block with sloping top, below which is molded cove and beaded ornamentation.
Applied ornaments bolted on front consist of central floral / botanical and scalloped shell motif flanked on each side by botanical motif volutes and acanthus leaf ornaments, repeated at each side of capital.
Reverse has eyelet for anchorage to masonry.
Originally there were sixteen capitals of this type and size. This is one of seven extant.
Stripped of paint, original finish was sand texturized to simulate beige sandstone.
