Description

Cast iron ornament. Originally installed on Abington Building fifth floor capital. Approximately one half of shield-shaped ornament with acanthus leaf motif and volute. Trimmed to fit at original installation at capital adjacent to pilaster. Front and sides painted with multiple layers of paint, original finish appears to be sand texturized to simulate beige sandstone. Inscriptions or Markings: Design motif: Style: Finish: Painted
