Description

Cast iron ornament. Originally installed on McKay Building front facade first floor pilaster. Central niche with arched opening. Flanked on each side with bracket-shaped ornament. Bead and rectilinear motif. Molded edges at top and bottom of main casting. Top corner is missing. Central ornament is separate casting in shape of tassel drop with scalloped motif mount. Front and sides painted with multiple layers of paint, original finish appears to be sand texturized to simulate beige sandstone. Inscriptions or Markings: Design motif: Style: Finish: Painted
