Eighteen historic photos mostly Portland, includes view of Meier & Frank addition from 1915. Val's wife has a distant connection to J. H. Ness of Umbdenstock-Larson Homesites and Builders.
1. Roxy (National, Rivoli, Newsreel) Theater. Three B&W 8"x10" photos; one page description of the Roxy; and one page list of Portland Theaters 1910-1960
2. House at 26 SE 76th. One 9"x7.25" B&W photo; two 8"x10" B&W photos of interior of house (each photo has written details about the room, hold up to light and read from the back for word placement).
3. The Rice Leaders of the World Association. Three 9.5"x3" B&W photos of displays for each: Winchester, Starrett Tools, and Carborundum Company.
4. House at 7117 SE 28th. One 9.75"x5.75" B&W photo; house built by J. H. Ness in 1927.
5. Vista House at Crown Point. One 5.5"x3.5" sepia tone postcard.
6. Meier & Frank Department Store Portland, Oregon. Three 9.75"x7.75" B&W photos taken in 1922 that show the 1915 addition. Two exterior photos and one interior photo.
7. Seaboard Building, 1909, Pike and 24th (?) in Seattle. One 9.5"x7.75" B&W photo.
8. Portland house, address unknown. Two 9.5"x7.5" B&W photos. One exterior and one interior.
9. Commercial building, name unknown but possibly from 105 SE Taylor. One 6.75"x4.75" B&W interior photo; three large motors on floor, palm trees, large desk, eight large pillars. Could be Fairbanks-Morse Co Portland ORE Gauge since there appears to be gauges on a back wall.
10. Change counting machine. One 8"x9" B&W photo, torn across lower edge.
