Description

A Cuban pharmaceutical package: a cardboard box for "AMINOFILINA," an intravenous injectable, printed in black with gold/ochre and orange-red bands on buff card. The front (first image) reads "AMINOFILINA / INYECCIÓN INTRAVENOSA / 3 ampolletas de 10 ml / Cada ampolleta contiene: Aminofilina 0.25 g / Laboratorio Farmacéutico 204 / Línea 1276 – Vedado – Habana," with a vertical line "EMPRESA CONSOLIDADA DE PRODUCTOS FARMACÉUTICOS" and a stylized "PF"/ampoule logo at the right. A domestically produced, state-sector medicine. Date Circa 1960s. The "Empresa Consolidada de Productos Farmacéuticos" designation is a clear post-1960 institutional marker (the consolidated state enterprises were established after the early-1960s nationalizations), placing the box securely after 1959. Its late-1950s graphic idiom — in the manner of the pre-revolutionary private laboratories — is a carryover design style, not evidence of an earlier date, and marks this as the earlier of the collection's two Aminofilina boxes from the same Havana plant (Línea No. 1276). No printed manufacture date; the lot number is a batch code.
