A set of three round beads used (with rubber bands) in hairdressing to secure ponytails or buns ("monos"), each a sphere pierced through with a central hole. The three differ in color and material appearance: one is opaque deep red with a glossy surface; one is opaque cream/off-white with a more matte surface and a notably wide bore; and one is translucent coral/pink, glossy, showing a visible molding seam and a small sprue/flash mark from manufacture. All three show wear consistent with use and handling — surface scuffing, dulling, and minor soiling, most pronounced on the cream bead. In use, beads of this kind were threaded onto elastic, cord, or hair ties and used to bind and decorate gathered hair, a common everyday and children's hairstyling practice.Use
