Four matching buttons, square with strongly rounded corners, slightly domed.
Face: a large rounded-square recessed field filled with opaque red material, occupying most of the face. Bare gilt metal is exposed as two wedges at diagonally opposite corners — upper right and lower left — where the fill's boundary cuts across the corner as a straight or slightly curved line. A fine gilt line separates fill from metal along that boundary. There is no framing border ring and no raised device within the field.
Reverse: plain gilt, unornamented, with a raised central pad carrying a transverse slotted shank. A fine seam runs the full height of the reverse through the shank pad, consistent with a casting or die seam. No lettering, mark, or number.Use
