El pueblo de Cuba celebró, entusiasmado y decidido a la victoria, el Tercer Aniversario de la Revolución, y el 2 de Enero de 1962 se concentró en la Plaza de la Revolución una gigantesca multitud que rodeó masivamente los tanques que desfilaron junto a las demás armas del pueblo para advertir a los imperialists que Cuba ¡no retrocederá! y para decirle a los hermanos pueblos de América Latina y del mundo que ¡Cuba no fallará! Junto al grito de ¡Patria o Muerte! que es el mismo de todos los pueblos latinoamericanos, nuestro pueblo entonó en la Plaza de la Revolución y en todas partes durante los días en que se festejó el III Aniversario de la Revolución, los himnos y marchas revolucionarios que compositores cubanos dedicaron a los tres primeros años de la Revolución, con la que nuestro pueblo avanza impetuoso por el camino de la construcción de una sociedad justa, de la construcción del socialismo. III ANNIVERSARY OF THE CUBAN REVOLUTION Hymns and marches revolucionarios premiados en el Concurso convened with the motive of the Ill Anniversary of the Revolution. The people of Cuba celebrated, enthusiastic and determined to victory, the Third Anniversary of the Revolution, and on January 2, 1962, a gigantic crowd gathered in the Plaza de la Revolución, massively surrounding the tanks that paraded along with the other weapons of the people to warn the imperialists that Cuba will not retreat! and to tell the brotherly peoples of Latin America and the world that Cuba will not fail! Together with the cry of Fatherland or Death! which is the same of all Latin American peoples, our people sang in the Plaza de la Revolución and everywhere else during the days in which the III Anniversary of the Revolution was celebrated, the revolutionary hymns and marches that Cuban composers dedicated to the first three years of the Revolution, with which our people advances impetuously on the road to the construction of a just society, the construction of socialism. This LP offered by the National Printing House of Cuba, gathers the ten revolutionary hymns and marches selected and awarded among several dozens of compositions of Cuban authors that were presented to the contest summoned on the occasion of the Ill Anniversary of the Revolution. This is a commemorative album of ten prize-winning revolutionary hymns and marches selected from a competition held for the Revolution's third anniversary, performed by Cuban state musical ensembles and issued by the Imprenta Nacional de Cuba. The Imprenta Nacional de Cuba was a recording label with a notable imprint on Cuban discography, a kind of transition between the earlier private Cuban catalogs and EGREM. EGREM was not founded until 1964, which is consistent with the 1962 dating and makes this an early-revolutionary-era pressing.

Notes
