According to invoices for the commissions, there were 18 total chairs made; 10 are documented. Gannett requested an alternative to the traditional long conference table. In response, Castle created a suite of chairs on wheels with built-in desks. The chairs were set around the perimeter of the room and were pulled into the center as needed.
