“The Connected Earth reminds me of the beautiful combination of earth and sky. It leaves me with a feeling of serenity and connectedness…of completeness. The linear string design, from which this was rubbed, was originally taken from the bark of a tree trunk, so it was seen vertically. I turned it on its side and envisioned our earth. I used color to show the elements of sky, mountains, water and fiery dessert. In addition to my paintings, I have a passionate daily practice of photographically documenting all activities and events at TRC which I email to residents, families and staff. I record the sharing of our lives to help create a sense of our community.”
