This is my first attempt at portraiture! Steve, the oldest of my four children, was lost to us as a young adult. Painting him was a deeply emotional experience, allowing me to be in touch with my wild child. It was a challenging and rewarding experience…as with all of my paintings, I feel I have grown . I learned about the placement and relationships of facial features which I previously had not considered! This has opened up a whole new area of expertise as an artist.
