Wy Ming (James) Chin was born in Toisan, China to a family of farmers. He immigrated to San Francisco as a young adult and is still very proud of his U.S. citizenship. James worked as both a server and a cook in restaurants here in the city – a few in the Sunset District where he now lives. He also married and raised a family here.
James enjoys drawing and painting watercolors. The staff at Nineteenth Avenue Healthcare observes that he has a great sense of humor, referring to himself as “James Bond” since his room number is seven.
