MNCs - Christine Tweety Pyston - Dancing in the Streets of Havana

Description

Christine Pyston is a native of San Francisco who has earned her well-known nickname Tweety because, as she says, “Tweety bird gets in trouble.” Tweety has volunteered at St. Anthony’s dining hall for over 31 years. In her free time, she draws and paints. Art making is a passion she has had for most of her life. She began making drawings and paintings in her 20s using pastels. Since then, most of her artworks have been inspired by her vivid imagination. Tweety often draws and paints realistic depictions of communities in suburban and urban settings using markers, colored pencils, and a touch of glitter that brings everything to life. Beyond drawing and painting, she used to make clothing for dolls. Today, all her artwork is directly from her imagination; interestingly, she never uses source photos.
