I passed by the art class on the way to exercise class and became intrigued. I never painted before and was quite hesitant especially with my vision. The teacher taught me some watercolor basics which gave me the confidence to do a "real" painting.
Nature was a pull for me. I started with a tree with leaves in fall colors, then a Monarch butterfly and then onto another. There was always something to paint. I experimented with acrylics but I tend to favor the translucence of watercolor. Recently I did a collage. It was really fun pulling pictures and finding a way to make them work as a whole.
I enjoy being with friends in the same space and yet doing our own work. It is amazing how quickly time flies. There is always so much support from each other. Making art is somehow relaxing and challenging at the same time. What a great mix!
