Maria was born in Macao, China where she lived with her three brothers and three sisters until she was thirteen years old. She moved to Hong Kong for two years before coming to San Francisco at age fifteen and has lived here ever since.
Her favorite childhood memories include spending time with classmates, learning, and playing games. She also has wonderful memories of her parents taking good care of her. Maria taught for 37 years while raising her son and daughter. She was also actively creating art during that time. She paints in pastels, charcoal pencils and sometimes uses watercolors.
She enjoys spending time with her two beautiful granddaughters, swimming, and taking walks with her dog.
