I am originally from NYC. I believe that we never know what form or shape our Karma will take. There are no accidents - every relationship was meant to be. I am a lifelong artist and a Feminist. I have a good art school education and have worked as an artist in many jobs (theater, publishing, art handling, teaching etc.). I enjoy being connected to an art group and having the opportunity to show with the group. Political themes are as important to me as are painting landscapes, still life, and portraits.
Our instructor Hugh Leeman is a great Art Historian and Painter who leads our group at Openhouse. Benefits of the class are the exchange of like-minded people finding expression and creating together. We get to know and trust each other, and Hugh is a wonderfully supportive artist we are lucky to learn from.
Creating art has, since childhood, kept me in the zone I need to be in as much as possible. Through art we become deep in the practice of self reflection and awareness and our artistic skills grow. I believe: “Inspiration will not fall on you from the sky. You must practice every day to create a channel for it to flow through.”
