Frances spent nearly all of her life in San Francisco. She married, worked as a housewife and raised two girls and a boy. Industrious and blessed with very nimble fingers, Frances was always making things; sewing all of her own clothing plus making outfits for the children, quilting, crocheting and knitting. She loved being a homebody.
After the children left home, Frances enjoyed the company of neighbors and friends. She recalls playing a lot of Mah-Jongg and she claims she was a big winner on the nickel bets.
Painting for nearly fifty years, Frances says that "it gives me something creative to do!" While she used to favor landscapes, her current success with painting animals has inspired her to branch out in new directions.
