I have enjoyed drawing and sketching for as long as I can remember. In my late fifties I had time to take my interest seriously. I took classes to improve my skill in drawing, composition, color, and form through a variety of mediums. Watercolor, I have found, is the most exciting medium, followed closely by pastel. My main interest is in living subjects: people, animals, and flowers. When creating a drawing or painting, I become completely immersed in my work, which provides both a healthy tension and deep satisfaction.
