Description
Benjamin Salguero was born in the Philippines and moved to San Francisco with his grandfather at the age of four. He has fond memories of growing up in the city, especially spending time at Pier 39 fishing and crabbing with his family. A devoted Bay Area sports fan, Benjamin proudly supports both the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. He is a master at crossword puzzles and a champion bingo player.
Benjamin joined the Art with Elders program in 2025 and enjoys the freedom of expression that art offers. Through participating in class, he has discovered that “if you put your mind into it, you can do anything.” The program has also helped him build many friendships within his community, where he serves as the resident board president. One piece of wisdom that has guided him throughout life is: “Keep your eye on the ball.”
