Yukching Yip is originally from Hong Kong, China, and moved to the United States 15 years ago. She describes herself as simple, “just like everyone else,” and enjoys reading and singing in her free time. Yukching speaks Chinese as well as a bit of English.
She began participating in the Art with Elders program about a year ago. Creating art is joyful and fun for her, especially working with color. The class has encouraged creativity and imagination while showing her how to make things beautiful. Through participating, she has also made new friends and connections with others. She believes in taking care of oneself by eating well and staying active.
