Ely is originally from the Philippines and joined the Art With Elders class at Curry Senior Center in July of 2024. She enjoys many hobbies like singing, dancing, drawing, playing outdoor games, and playing chess.
In her AWE class, Ely says she has learned not only skills such as combining colors using acrylic paint, but she has also learned to express herself through art. In her artwork, Ely aspires to create expressive drawings and paintings and “to give life to” the works.
“In drawing, you can easily express your feelings. It reflects you,” states Ely.
