Born and raised in San Francisco, Carla Trettin spent her career working with young children as a preschool teacher. It was during those formative teaching years that she first explored the vibrant worlds of color theory and watercolor painting.
For the past year, Carla has been a dedicated participant in Art With Elders. She eagerly looks forward to every class, always excited to explore new creative techniques. Watercolor remains her medium of choice, providing a deeply relaxing and meditative escape.
Beyond the artistic growth, the program has brought joyful connections into her life, offering a space to build new friendships and share in rich conversation. In both life and art, Carla is guided by the simple yet powerful words of wisdom: "Do the best you can."
