“The Aquarium was in my son’s room, at home, as he was growing up. It became the subject of many discussions as he watched carefully and kept track of the creatures as they changed and grew. It was his creation as he chose which fish he wanted to include. Making this painting tapped into a memory of part of my son’s youth. I chose the colors and kinds of marine animals for this artwork from my memory of going to the Aquarium store with him.”
