Che Lee is originally from Hong Kong and began participating in the Art with Elders program in 2025. Having always enjoyed animation, Che joined the class to learn how to draw. Che is a basketball fan and counts Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, and Steph Curry among his favorite players, saying they make the game exciting.
Che enjoys creating art while listening to music, finding it peaceful and a way to keep his mind sharp. Through the class, he has learned about perspective, color mixing, figure drawing, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic and colored pencils. The experience has also shown him that he is able to compose pictures from his imagination and explore his creativity. Participating in the class has led to new friendships and connections with others. In Che’s words: “Just be happy.”
