Description
Richard Garlinghouse (Rich Garlinghouse, as he is most often known) was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, with early childhood years spent in California as a Navy “brat.” He attended Lincoln public schools and took Saturday art classes for teenagers at the University of Nebraska. He later studied architecture at Stanford University, completing both his undergraduate degree and master’s program, and also attended United States Coast Guard Boot Camp.
He has been married to Peggy for over 50 years, and, as he puts it, those years have taught him when to “shut up.”
