I am attracted to movement in lines and figures, colors that speak to my emotions, familiar scenes that comfort me or sometimes sadden me. At the moment, I am trying to capture the curvy lines that emerge while keenly looking at my subject. Lines meandering, or lines carefully cloaking the edges of hydrangeas, their community of flowers and broad textured leaves reaching from the vase. Colors that create their own mixes in life. Figures bend, reach, stroll through time, play instruments - seeking, moving - alive.
