Description
Joan is an adventurous, fun-loving gal from Syracuse, New York. Raised in a large Catholic family, Joan had five brothers and two sisters. While studying education courses at City College, she took art classes and was offered $10 for one of her early paintings. In addition to working as a dental assistant at the Veterans Association, she became her father’s primary caregiver.
In the fifties, she drove by herself cross-country to San Francisco in a green Mustang convertible. Joan enjoys traveling, cooking (especially baking) and performing the domestic arts. During a European trip, she won a twisting contest in Italy with a dashing Italian man and won chocolate candies. Reflecting on her fulfilling life, Joan realizes how blessed she is. She shares her wise philosophy of life – to acknowledge (and laugh) about all the mistakes we make!
