My name is Vivien Tse. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. In 2001, I moved to the Bay Area and retired in 2021. I’ve always loved visiting museums, but I never had the chance to learn and practice the arts when I was younger.
In 2022, I started taking a Chinese freehand painting class, and in December 2023, I joined the online classes offered by Art With Elders through the Visitacion Valley Community Center. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed these classes and have had the opportunity to explore various art mediums, such as watercolor, gouache, and colored pencils.
These classes are an incredibly engaging, inspiring, and enriching part of my senior life.
