Xiang Hua Wang is originally from China and is 86 years old. She is an On Lok participant who enjoys taking part in activities and describes herself as happy and thankful. She began participating in the Art with Elders class at On Lok after the pandemic, when the instructor Natalie Quek joined the program.
Xiang Hua Wang enjoys painting flowers, plants, and animals, and especially likes watercolor. Participating in the class has helped her build friendships with people from different cultural backgrounds, as well as a bond with the instructor Natalie. She also feels that art benefits seniors. When asked about words of wisdom that have helped her in life, she shared: “Ignorance is bliss.”
