“Magical ideas come to me through painting. I love it,” says Maria Teresa. “I am pleased that I can still make art at my ‘young’ age,” she jokes. I love to color and draw and to look at beautiful landscapes.
Originally from D.F., Mexico (Mexico City), Maria Teresa Garcia de Barcenas joined the Art With Elders class at On Lok San Jose in 2025. Of herself she says, “I am a humble person who puts my heart into everything I do.”
She has enjoyed making new friends in the class. “We help each other and we enjoy ourselves and laugh together.
