Chicago born Richard Steger has been part of the Art With Elders class at Openhouse since 2023. He values the sense of connection in the group and enjoys being around “all the nice people” his age. Creating art makes him feel “great,” and the class has offered him the chance to form new friendships with like-minded people.
One of Jim’s art pieces was recently featured on the cover of “I Am Fact Not a Fiction,” a poetry collection by Edward Mycue, winner of the 2024 Peace Corps Writers’ Poetry Award.
