I am a lesbian artist who has made San Francisco her home for the past 45 years. With my trademark "Blue Nails" or signature "Keem" I have worked in all kinds of media from drawing, painting and collage to puppetry and music.
In the past, I was part of "Hand Ghost Theatre," now defunct, a puppetry group that designed and created its own scripts, puppets, scenery and music.
I enjoy drawing with colored pencils. I like the control they give me with shading and texture. I really like layering the colors and finding the inherent shapes in the paper that only an artist who's looking or dreaming can see. Together my colors and I dream on paper.
