Kuksa - Sámi travel cupEntry/Object ID
ACC0002Description
This is a decorated Sámi travel cup. To say "Sámi travel cup" is obviously somewhat redundant, as the Sámi, given their traditionally semi-nomadic lifestyle, one could argue that all their equipment is by definition the "travel" version. In any case, the materials used are reindeer antler for the decoration on top of the handle, birch burl for the cup itself, and some leather for a strap. These are the materials naturally available in Lapland.Category
