Description

This is a pair of seal skins from the 1930s used in France by the "Chasseurs Alpin" division. The front strap is an obvious fit for any of the ski tips of the day. The back strap was stretched from under and over the back of the ski, which would be equipped with hardware to receive it. These are made of actual seal; today's equivalent is made with synthetic materials.
