Description

Rossignol Olympic 41

Use

In 1941, Abel Rossignol patented the laminated "Olympic" ski, but it was not until 1948 that the OLYMPIC 41 ski was on the top step of the podium at the Winter Olympics. Henri Oreiller won two gold medals (downhill and combined) and a slalom bronze at these Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland. This made him the most successful athlete at those games, and he did it all on the Rossignol Olympic 41. James Couttet, his teammate, also on these skis, won the slalom silver and bronze combined.
