Description

Silvretta Saas Free alpine touring Binding with safety release mechanism. This binding made Germany's Silvretta brand the reference and absolutely dominant binding for any serious Alpine Touring (AT). The Silvretta Saas Free is considered to be the precursor to the modern Randonnee ski binding. This version is from the early 1970s when they added a stiff metal plate (the Bear Paw) to prevent sideways slop.
