Description

Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum Wausau, WI During the spring 2020 statewide shutdown, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum’s social media posts highlighted the Museum’s online content for virtual sources of diversion and inspiration anytime. The Museum’s online options and activities for all ages are robust, yet dispersed throughout the website and other platforms. • More than 150 videos with insights about artists and artworks featured in each changing exhibition are listed on the Museum’s YouTube channel. • More than 700 artworks can be accessed via the website’s collection search feature. • Activity Guides, complementing more than 30 current and previous exhibitions, are available via printable PDFs. • Webinar recordings and videos on other platforms provide insights into artworks, artists, and exhibitions. • Art Kits can be accessed remotely via printable PDFs listed on a newly created webpage. To consolidate and showcase the ever-growing array of online options for all ages, Museum staff created a Digital Resources webpage and prominently promotes those offerings on the website homepage. Whether or not the Museum is open, website visitors can readily peruse and access online options anytime.
