Description

This album is just one piece of an extensive collection that was donated to the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire by the family of Colonel Louis Frank, USMC. Major (at the time) Frank served as a pilot in VMD-154 when it was stationed at Camp Elrod on Espiritu Santo, the largest island in the New Hebrides (now Vanuatu) archipelago. These images document the construction of Camp Elrod and were digitized by Aviation Museum of New Hampshire volunteers Bob Brown and Steve Heffelfinger in 2023.
