Description

USAF Contract AF33(600)42163 The report outlines the results of the first series of wind tunnel tests for the AVROCAR model. These phase 1 tests had as their objective the determination of a transition trajectory for flight out of a ground cushion to free air. Test results identified a number of deficiencies and the report further proposes certain modifications to overcome or alleviate those difficulties. Report approved by T.D. Earl
