pg. 46, 49 Orenda Contract Ends - the last Orenda engine on Canadian Gov't contract was turned over, the last engine number was 3,794 - of this number 3,446 are still in service with the RCAF powering CF-100's and Sabre's. Engine Support Assembly -image of an engine support built by Orenda Engines - photo includes Tool Planner Mel Pattison and Toolmakers Tom Barnes and John Hemus. Iroquois Pace Up - began three shifts-per-day operation in preparation for production of the Iroquois engine. Full scale production of the engine is still some time in the future but is designed to power the Avro Arrow of which 37 have been ordered by the Department of Defence Production.
