pg 50, 52 Arrow Aftermath - reports that France had expressed interest in buying 300 Iroquois engines from Orenda Engines Ltd. around the time of Arrow project cancellation. Reports of this interests to the Federal Government got no response. The deal could have saved the Arrow project. Story includes Fred T. Smye, Howard Green then acting Defence Production Minister, Paul Davoud then Orenda VP for sales, D.L. Thompson, director of the DDP's aircraft branch, J.A. Morley, VP for sales.
